Synopsis
The story takes us back to 2003, where Summer becomes the latest victim of the Sweetly Killer, a mysterious murderer who has been terrorizing a small Minnesota town for years. Fast forward to 2024, and Summer’s sister, Lucy, is struggling to live under the watchful eyes of her overprotective parents while waiting for an internship offer from NASA. Growing up in the shadow of her sister’s tragic death, Lucy’s life takes a surreal turn when, while visiting Summer’s memorial at an old farmhouse, she accidentally activates a hidden laser-based time machine. In an instant, Lucy is transported back to 2003, where everything is normal and Summer is still alive. Determined to change fate, Lucy believes she can stop the Sweetly Killer, and with the help of Quinn, a brilliant physics expert, she sets out to rewrite the past.
