The Six Triple Eight 2024

In 1942, Lena, a young woman from Pennsylvania, falls in love with Abram, a man preparing to serve as a pilot in World War II. She eagerly anticipates their reunion after his deployment, but her world shatters when she learns of his death a year later. Devastated by the loss, Lena decides to enlist in the military, where she is mentored by Major Adams. Overwhelmed by the challenges of her new life and haunted by visions of Abram, Lena begins to find camaraderie with her fellow recruits—Johnnie, Bernice, Dolores, and Elaine. While Major Adams is dedicated to serving her country, she faces opposition from higher-ups like General Halt, who hold deeply entrenched prejudices against black people.
