Synopsis
Out of nowhere, someone has decided to awaken Shadow, who has been in hibernation on Prison Island for fifty years. Filled with rage towards the world, Shadow swiftly defeats all the armed guards and escapes. He finds himself in Tokyo, where he uncovers the full extent of his long imprisonment. Vowing revenge for his friend Maria, Shadow’s actions draw the attention of Team Sonic. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and even Tom and Maddie are enlisted by G.U.N. to devise a plan to confront Shadow. Reluctantly, they team up with Dr. Robotnik, who appears to be in even greater peril. Their alliance becomes a desperate last-ditch effort to save the Earth when Robotnik’s grandfather makes a surprising return.
