Synopsis
In Goodrich, art gallery owner Andy Goodrich’s life is in shambles. His wife, Naomi, has entered a 90-day rehab program, their marriage is on the brink of divorce, and Andy is left to care for their 9-year-old twins, Billy and Morse, on his own—pushing him into the role of “Mr. Mom.” To make matters worse, his art gallery is struggling financially, and his relationship with his eldest daughter, Grace, from his first marriage, is strained. Grace is expecting a baby, adding another layer of tension to Andy’s already chaotic life.
Meanwhile, Andy becomes entangled with Laura, the daughter of a recently deceased, celebrated painter, whose work he hopes to feature in his gallery. With so many moving parts, writer-director Harry Meyers-Shyer’s screenplay juggles multiple tones and subplots. While this occasionally makes the story feel a bit overloaded, it doesn’t undermine the overall narrative.
