Synopsis
The film portrays the historical events that have unfolded in this particular location, using a frames-within-the-frame technique to smoothly transition between different time periods. The opening scene presents an expansive landscape, capturing moments from the extinction of dinosaurs to the everyday lives of Native Americans and even the home of Benjamin Franklin’s estranged son. As the story moves into the 20th century, the setting shifts to the living room of a duplex, offering a glimpse into the lives of its occupants. In the 1910s, we witness Pauline Harter’s ongoing anxiety about her adventurous husband, John, who appears increasingly consumed by his fascination with the emerging field of aviation.
