Synopsis
Leah Meyer has always been captivated by Christmas—the sparkling trees, the festive ornaments, and the rich taste of eggnog. Yet, due to her Jewish background, she’s experienced the holiday only from the sidelines. While her family celebrates Hanukkah, Leah has always longed to experience a traditional Christmas. So when her boyfriend Graham invites her to spend the holidays with his quintessential Connecticut family, she eagerly accepts. Excited to finally immerse herself in the Christmas she’s dreamed of, Leah quickly realizes that blending into Graham’s traditional family—and dealing with his cold, unwelcoming mother—presents more challenges than she anticipated. As holiday traditions clash and awkward moments unfold, the Christmas she envisioned turns out to be far from the cozy, joyful celebration she had hoped for.
