Synopsis
Grande’s Glinda makes a grand, majestic entrance into Munchkinland at the start of Wicked, joyfully informing her adoring supporters that the witch is, in fact, dead, confirming circulating rumors. The narrative then flashes back to explore how Glinda and the green-skinned Elphaba formed an unlikely friendship during their time at college. Glinda, a charming yet spoiled and occasionally cruel girl accustomed to getting her way, contrasts sharply with Elphaba, who has endured a lifetime of ridicule and isolation due to her distinctive skin color. Despite their differences, the two discover a surprising bond after being forced to share a room, seeing each other in a way no one else ever has.
